A good gaming monitor doesn’t necessarily have to cost hundreds of dollars.
For many gamers, the sweet spot is a 27-inch QHD display with a high refresh rate. You get a sharper image than 1080p while still having enough refresh-rate headroom for fast-paced games.
The ARZOPA M1RC follows exactly this formula. It combines a 27-inch 2560 × 1440 QHD Fast IPS panel with a 180Hz refresh rate, while also adding USB-C connectivity and support for features such as FreeSync and HDR10.
At the current deal price of $106.50, it becomes particularly interesting for gamers who want to upgrade from a basic 1080p monitor without spending too much.

27-inch QHD Is the Real Sweet Spot

The first thing I like about the M1RC is the combination of size and resolution.
A 27-inch 2560 × 1440 display gives you noticeably more workspace and sharper image quality than a typical 24-inch 1080p monitor, while remaining much easier to drive than a 4K gaming monitor.
For gaming, QHD also gives environments, textures, and small details more clarity. For everyday use, the extra desktop space is useful for browsing, editing, and multitasking.
The M1RC uses a Fast IPS panel, with a 180Hz refresh rate and advertised 1ms GTG response under overdrive. The manufacturer lists 350 nits maximum brightness, a 1000:1 static contrast ratio, and HDR10 support.
180Hz Makes Gaming Feel Much Smoother

If you’ve been using a 60Hz monitor for years, moving to 180Hz is one of the upgrades you’ll notice immediately.
Menus feel smoother, camera movement looks more fluid, and fast motion is easier to follow. For competitive FPS games, the benefit is especially noticeable because a high refresh rate can make rapid movements feel more responsive.
The M1RC also supports AMD FreeSync / Adaptive Sync, helping reduce tearing when frame rates fluctuate. Current documentation also lists NVIDIA G-Sync compatibility.
Of course, getting the most from 180Hz requires your PC to actually produce high frame rates, particularly at 2560 × 1440.
USB-C Is a Nice Extra

Another feature that makes the M1RC more versatile is its USB-C input.
This means the monitor isn’t limited to a traditional desktop gaming PC. It can also be used with compatible laptops and mobile devices, and the product is marketed with Samsung DeX support.
The USB-C implementation is especially useful if you regularly connect a laptop or want a cleaner single-cable setup for compatible devices. The published manual lists the Type-C port as supporting up to 180Hz and 15W power delivery.
That said, 15W is not enough to replace the charger for most gaming laptops, so I would think of USB-C here primarily as a convenient display connection rather than a complete laptop docking solution.
What About Color?

The M1RC isn’t positioned as a professional color-grading monitor.
ARZOPA lists a wide color gamut, including around 110% sRGB on its product specifications, but independent testing from TechRadar found that color accuracy and uniformity were weaker than the monitor’s gaming performance.
For gaming, movies, browsing, and general everyday use, this may not be a major concern.
But if your work depends on highly accurate color reproduction, such as professional photo or video editing, I would look at a display designed specifically for that purpose.
A Better Fit for a Gaming Setup
The M1RC is particularly interesting as part of a budget gaming setup.
If you’re also looking for a fast gaming keyboard, check out my review of the AJAZZ AK820 / AK820 Pro, which combines a compact 75% layout with hot-swappable switches and, on the Pro model, wireless connectivity.

I also previously reviewed the TITAN ARMY P2710S, another affordable gaming monitor with a 240Hz refresh rate.

The two monitors take slightly different approaches: the M1RC focuses on the balance of QHD resolution and 180Hz, while the P2710S puts more emphasis on a higher refresh rate.
Final Thoughts
The ARZOPA M1RC is an interesting gaming monitor because its feature combination makes sense.
A 27-inch QHD Fast IPS panel, 180Hz refresh rate, Adaptive Sync, and USB-C make it suitable for both gaming and everyday desktop use.
Its biggest limitation is that this is still a budget-oriented monitor, particularly when it comes to professional color accuracy.
But at the current $106.50 deal price, the M1RC offers a compelling combination of resolution, refresh rate, and connectivity for gamers upgrading from an older 1080p display.
